Château Chasse-Spleen sits in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, on the Route des Châteaux just north-west of Margaux. Its vineyards are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and a little Cabernet Franc. The name has a poetic origin: legend says Lord Byron stopped at the château and praised the wine's power to dispel the "spleen", which led the owners to adopt the name.
