About the producer
Henschke
Henschke is a sixth-generation, family-owned winery founded in 1868 by Johann Christian Henschke, a German-Silesian settler, in the Eden Valley district of the Barossa, South Australia. Fifth-generation winemaker Stephen Henschke and viticulturist Prue Henschke have led the estate since 1979, pioneering organic and biodynamic viticulture across the family's Eden Valley, Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills vineyards, with sixth-generation Johann Henschke now carrying the tradition forward. Henschke is best known for Hill of Grace, one of the world's most celebrated single-vineyard Shiraz wines, alongside other icons such as Mount Edelstone and The Wheelwright.
