Massolino Barolo 2020 DOCG
The 2017 Massolino Barolo is a classic expression of Nebbiolo from the historic hills of Serralunga d’Alba, showcasing the estate’s dedication to tradition, precision, and terroir. Sourced from Massolino’s prized vineyards with calcareous marl soils and excellent exposures, this Barolo reflects both the power and finesse for which Serralunga is renowned. The warm, dry 2017 vintage produced smaller yields and intensely concentrated fruit, resulting in a wine of depth, structure, and aromatic purity.
Fermented in stainless steel with extended maceration to fully extract Nebbiolo’s noble character, the wine was then aged for approximately 30 months in large Slavonian oak casks, preserving freshness while allowing the tannins to soften and the aromatics to evolve gracefully. The result is a poised and age-worthy Barolo with classic structure, lifted aromatics, and refined elegance.
Appearance:
Bright garnet with brick-red highlights at the rim.
