Moss Wood estate Cabernet from Wilyabrup. Fragrant, fresh-fruited and polished with firm-ish tannins; 18% new French oak, around two years in barrel. 14.2% alc.

Colour: Opaque, dark red core with a dark red hue

Nose:  Red and black currant with violet, cedary tobacco, black olive, earth and bay leaf/sage; red plum and cherry freshness

Palate: Rich, polished and balanced; ripe red/black currant with cedar, tobacco and dried herbs; fine-grained but structured tannins; long, lingering finish

About the producer
Moss Wood
Moss Wood is one of the founding estates of Margaret River, Western Australia. The Wilyabrup vineyard was planted in 1969 and the first Cabernet Sauvignon was made in 1973. Keith Mugford has made the wines since 1979 and Clare Mugford has worked alongside him since 1984; the family-run business now spans two generations. The estate is dry-grown, hand-harvested and sealed exclusively under screw cap.
