51st commercial release and 50th anniversary of the first (1973) vintage. Long, even ripening in a moderate season; classical, finely structured. 15% new French oak, bottled Nov 2025, released May 2026. 14% alc.

Colour: Deep brick red; bright condition

Nose:  Blackberry, blackcurrant and mulberry with plum and red currant lift; tobacco leaf, cedar, graphite, leather and olive; light toast and spice

Palate: Full-bodied: blackberry, cassis and blueberry with chocolate and spice; firm but fine tannins and good acidity; oak well in the background.

About the producer
Moss Wood
Moss Wood is one of the founding estates of Margaret River, Western Australia. The Wilyabrup vineyard was planted in 1969 and the first Cabernet Sauvignon was made in 1973. Keith Mugford has made the wines since 1979 and Clare Mugford has worked alongside him since 1984; the family-run business now spans two generations. The estate is dry-grown, hand-harvested and sealed exclusively under screw cap.
