The 2019 Nickel & Nickel ‘DeCarle Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning representation of Rutherford’s distinguished terroir. Sourced from the western side of Rutherford, the vineyard’s deep, gravelly loam soils and optimal climate conditions create a Cabernet of exceptional depth and elegance. The 2019 vintage benefited from a long, even growing season, allowing for optimal ripeness and complexity.

Fermented in stainless steel to preserve its vibrant fruit character, this wine was aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak barrels, enhancing its structure while adding layers of warm spice and refined tannins. The result is a beautifully balanced Cabernet Sauvignon with rich dark fruit, subtle minerality, and the signature “Rutherford dust” finish.

Appearance: Deep garnet with a brilliant ruby rim.

Nose: Aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, and dark cherries, interwoven with cedar, graphite, and hints of vanilla bean.

Palate: Lush blackcurrant, plum, and blueberry layered with dark chocolate, espresso, and toasted oak. Silky tannins lead to a long, mineral-driven finish.
