Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2021

Often called 'Baby Grange', Bin 389 is Penfolds' Cabernet Shiraz first made in 1960 by Max Schubert, with components matured in barrels that held the previous Grange vintage. It balances Cabernet structure with Shiraz richness.

Dark maroon

Nose:
A kaleidoscope of aromas: sweet pastries, blueberry danish, fruits of the forest, blackberry and mulberry, with a hint of formic acid, pink peppercorn, black cardamom and aniseed/liquorice on swirling.

Palate:
A flawless integration of both varieties: black and red fruit compote, cocoa-powder sweetness and savoury cold-meat notes; fine tannins like oolong tea and a refreshing lift on the finish.
