Palate: Nutty, complex and powerful; lime and melon, creamy honeyed richness, powdery flinty grip, bright citrus acidity and a soaring finish of superb length

About the producer
Pierro
Pierro is the Wilyabrup estate of Dr Mike Peterkin, who first made Chardonnay in 1980. Vines are close-planted (about 6,000 per hectare) on rocky, north- and west-facing blocks sloping to Willyabrup Brook, mostly the Gin Gin clone. Pierro is regarded as one of Australia's leading Chardonnay producers and also made Australia's first Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend.
