Standish Schubert's Theorem 2020

The 2020 Schubert's Theorem is drawn from a single block on the Schubert family's Roennfeldt Road vineyard in Marananga, western Barossa Valley, where dry-grown vines planted in 1912 yield fruit of exceptional concentration. Deep, layered dark fruit sits alongside graphite and earthy, savoury complexity, in a wine built for extended cellaring.

Appearance:
Deep, dense garnet-ruby, opaque at the core with a developing brick-edged rim.

Nose:
Concentrated black plum and blackberry, underscored by graphite, dark chocolate and savoury earth.


Palate:
Full-bodied and densely layered, with brooding dark fruit, firm but polished tannins and a mineral, earthy undertone that speaks of the old vineyard.

Finish:
Very long and structured, with graphite minerality and dark spice resolving slowly.
