Standish Schubert's Theorem 2022
The 2022 Schubert's Theorem is sourced from a single block on the Schubert family's Roennfeldt Road vineyard in Marananga, western Barossa Valley, where dry-grown vines planted in 1912 give fruit of exceptional concentration. Deep, layered dark fruit, graphite and earthy, savoury complexity make this a wine built for extended cellaring.
Appearance:
Deep purple-black with a dense core and a bright, youthful edge.
Nose:
Layered blackberry, dark plum and blueberry, with graphite, dark chocolate and a savoury earthen note.
Palate:
Full-bodied and structured, with saturated dark fruit, fine but powerful tannins and a mineral, savoury undertone building through the mid-palate.
Finish:
Long, dense and graphite-edged, with dark fruit persisting well after the last sip.
