Standish Schubert's Theorem 2023
The 2023 Schubert's Theorem is drawn from a single block on the Schubert family's Roennfeldt Road vineyard in Marananga, western Barossa Valley, where dry-grown vines planted in 1912 produce fruit of remarkable concentration. Deep, layered dark fruit, graphite minerality and earthy, savoury depth define a wine designed to reward long-term cellaring.
Appearance:
Inky, dense ruby-black with a bright, youthful rim.
Nose:
Dark plum, blackberry and mulberry, framed by graphite, licorice and a whisper of dried herb.
Palate:
Full-bodied and tightly wound, with concentrated dark fruit, firm, fine-grained tannins and a savoury, mineral core.
Finish:
Long and structured, with dark spice and graphite lingering with real persistence.
