Standish The Relic Shiraz Viognier 2019

The 2019 Relic is sourced from the east-facing Hongell Family Vineyard in Krondorf, where a small amount of Viognier is co-fermented with Shiraz. The Viognier lifts the wine's perfume and adds a fine floral edge, apricot and white pepper, over a core of dark berry fruit and silky, refined tannins - from a vintage widely regarded as one of the finest in recent Barossa history.

Appearance:
Deep, bright ruby with a youthful, glossy rim.

Nose:
Vivid apricot blossom and rose petal over dark cherry, plum and a fine dusting of white pepper.

Palate:
Full-bodied yet elegant, with layered dark fruit, silky, fine tannins and a floral lift that carries through the mid-palate.

Finish:
Long, refined and perfumed, closing on apricot, spice and dark cherry.
