Standish The Relic Shiraz Viognier 2021

The 2021 Relic comes from the east-facing Hongell Family Vineyard in Krondorf, where a small amount of Viognier is co-fermented with Shiraz. The Viognier lifts the aromatics and adds a fine floral edge, apricot and white pepper, over a core of dark berry fruit and silky, refined tannins.

Appearance:
Bright, youthful ruby with a clear, vivid edge.

Nose:
Fresh apricot and rose petal lift over dark berry fruit, with a fine dusting of white pepper.

Palate:
Medium to full-bodied and silky, with juicy dark fruit, fine tannins and a floral, spiced lift throughout.

Finish:
Long and fragrant, with apricot and white pepper lingering alongside soft dark fruit.
