Standish The Relic Shiraz Viognier 2023

The 2023 Relic comes from the east-facing Hongell Family Vineyard in Krondorf, where a small amount of Viognier is co-fermented with Shiraz. The Viognier lifts the aromatics and adds a fine floral edge, apricot and white pepper, over a core of dark berry fruit and silky, refined tannins.

Appearance:
Vivid, youthful ruby-purple with a bright, clear edge.

Nose:
Fresh apricot and rose petal lift over blackberry and dark cherry, with a fine white pepper note.

Palate:

Medium to full-bodied and silky, with vibrant dark fruit, fine tannins and a floral, spiced lift running through the palate.

Finish:
Long and fragrant, with apricot, white pepper and dark fruit lingering gracefully.
