Standish The Standish Shiraz 2019

The 2019 Standish is the flagship of the range, grown on the Laycock Family Vineyard in the western Barossa parish of Greenock. From a vintage widely acclaimed as one of the finest in recent Barossa history, it shows deep colour, ripe blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, savoury Barossa herb notes and full-bodied, finely structured tannins.

Appearance:
Deep, dense ruby-black with a bright, youthful rim.

Nose:
Intense blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, framed by sage, licorice and dark chocolate.

Palate:
Full-bodied and saturated, with layered dark fruit, firm, finely structured tannins and a savoury, herbal depth beneath the fruit.

Finish:
Very long and commanding, with dark spice, sage and black fruit persisting well.
