The 2020 Standish is the flagship of the range, grown on the Laycock Family Vineyard in the western Barossa parish of Greenock. It embodies Dan Standish's founding philosophy of fruit purity and transparency of site - deep in colour, with ripe blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, savoury Barossa herb notes and full-bodied, finely structured tannins.

Appearance:
Deep, opaque ruby-purple with a vivid, youthful edge.

Nose:
Ripe blackberry and dark plum, with black cherry, sage and a warm mocha undertone.

Palate:
Full-bodied and dense, with concentrated dark fruit, fine but powerful tannins and a savoury herbal note running through the palate.

Finish:
Long and structured, with sage, dark spice and black fruit lingering with authority.
