Standish The Standish Shiraz 2021

The 2021 Standish is the flagship of the range, grown on the Laycock Family Vineyard in the western Barossa parish of Greenock. It embodies Dan Standish's founding philosophy of fruit purity and transparency of site - deep in colour, with ripe blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, savoury Barossa herb notes and full-bodied, finely structured tannins.

Appearance:
Deep, saturated ruby-black with a bright, youthful rim.

Nose:
Blackberry and dark plum lead, layered with black cherry, sage and a hint of eucalyptus.

Palate:
Full-bodied and firmly structured, with dense dark fruit, fine, powerful tannins and a savoury herbal thread beneath.

Finish:
Very long, with sage, dark spice and black fruit resolving slowly.
