Standish The Standish Shiraz 2022
The 2022 Standish is the flagship of the range, grown on the Laycock Family Vineyard in the western Barossa parish of Greenock. It embodies Dan Standish's founding philosophy of fruit purity and transparency of site - deep in colour, with ripe blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, savoury Barossa herb notes and full-bodied, finely structured tannins.
Appearance:
Deep, dense ruby-purple with a vivid, glossy edge.
Nose:
Ripe blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, with sage, dried herb and a warm mocha note.
Palate:
Full-bodied and richly layered, with saturated dark fruit, fine but firm tannins and a savoury herbal undertone.
Finish:
Long and powerful, closing on sage, dark spice and lingering black fruit.
