Standish The Standish Shiraz 2023

The 2023 Standish is the flagship of the range, grown on the Laycock Family Vineyard in the western Barossa parish of Greenock. It embodies Dan Standish's founding philosophy of fruit purity and transparency of site - deep in colour, with ripe blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, savoury Barossa herb notes and full-bodied, finely structured tannins.

Appearance:
Vivid, youthful ruby-black with a dense, saturated core.

Nose:
Vibrant blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, framed by sage, spice and a faint eucalyptus lift.

Palate:
Full-bodied and powerful, with primary dark fruit, firm, fine-grained tannins and a savoury herbal thread running through.

Finish:
Very long and structured, with sage, dark spice and black fruit carrying with real persistence.
