Colour: Translucent ruby

Nose: Savoury tobacco, earthy forest floor and a nori-like ocean breeze; delicate red berries moving to cherry pip, mushroom, white clay, brie rind and tamari; violets lift the finish

Palate: Restrained and ethereal; plush, shapely body with red berry fruit and very fine, talc-like tannins of great length; graceful with a savoury core and long, drying finish

About the producer
Vasse Felix
Vasse Felix is Margaret River's founding wine estate, established in 1967 by Dr Tom Cullity, who planted the first Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec vines in the region. The Home Vineyard is in Wilyabrup. The estate has been owned by the Holmes a Court family since 1987, and Virginia Willcock is chief winemaker. Tom Cullity is the flagship single-vineyard wine from the original 1967 plantings.
