About the producer
Champagne Egly-Ouriet
Francis Egly considers Les Crayères a living link to how Champagne from Reims tasted a century ago, before producers began routinely blending Pinot Noir with Chardonnay. Farmed with the same organic, low-yield philosophy applied across the domaine's Ambonnay holdings, this old-vine parcel sits on some of the thinnest, purest chalk in the village. It remains one of the most acclaimed and collectible bottlings in the Egly-Ouriet range, prized by sommeliers and collectors for its density, ageing potential and singular expression of Ambonnay Pinot Noir.
