Standish The Relic Shiraz Viognier 2022

The 2022 Relic is drawn from the east-facing Hongell Family Vineyard in Krondorf, where a small amount of Viognier is co-fermented with Shiraz. The Viognier lifts the wine's perfume and adds a fine floral edge, apricot and white pepper, over a core of dark berry fruit and silky, refined tannins.

Appearance:
Deep, vivid ruby with a bright, youthful rim.

Nose:
Apricot blossom and rose petal float over dark plum and cherry, with a touch of white pepper.

Palate:
Full-bodied and silky, with rich dark fruit, fine, refined tannins and a perfumed floral thread woven throughout.

Finish:
Long and elegant, finishing on apricot, spice and dark berry fruit.
